I remember having conversations at an early age with my father about business and different kinds of investments. I probably asked way too many questions about mutual funds, mortgages, and interest. To encourage my growing interest in personal finance, my parents invited me to join them in meetings with their financial advisor while I was still in high school.
A personal finance elective course during my sophomore year of college made it clear that I wanted to pursue a financial planning career. I graduated from Western Kentucky University with a BS in Finance and a concentration in Financial Planning. Now, I’ve realized my goal of working in the financial planning industry and my next career goal is to earn the Certified Financial Planner designation to help strengthen my financial planning knowledge.
